BONNIE
Sex/colour Female Blue (rough coated)
D.O.B: approx April 2007
Breed: Bedlington terrier-Whippet cross
Came to AfG: April 2008
BONNIE had been brought from a breeder at age 8 weeks (supposedly a
Bedlington Terrier cross Whippet).
At one year of age, the ‘owners’ decided they no longer had time for her.
We had a foster home for Bonnie to go straight into.
Bonnie was a very timid hound and had not been socialised with other
dogs, so luckily she was in a foster home on her own but able to meet
other dogs on her walks.
After less than one week we heard of a lady who had recently lost her
elderly rescued Greyhound from cancer and was heartbroken to be without
a dog after so long.
Luckily Bonnie was perfect for the lady, an active retiree with no other
animals and a big garden.
So Bonnie was able to be given all the time, care and patience needed.
Bonnie went on various walks and gradually met so many other dogs, some
on a daily basis who became her canine pals on walks.
Bonnie improved tremendously in her forever home, due to the devotion of
her excellent adopter.
Bonnie and her adopter were great companions for each other going on to
enjoy fun and adventures together.
