KIZ (named for racing as: Clonbony Jackie)
Sex/colour: Female Brindle
D.O.B: 20.04.2014
Last recorded owner: Mr. Martin Malone
Last recorded trainer: Not known
Races contended: None found
Came to AfG: June 2016
KIZ came to AfG with her litter brother (see: VINNIE Greyhounds homed)
So named as she just wanted to kiss everyone.
Both young hounds were left at the notorious Ennis pound in County
Clare, Ireland.
Luckily, saved by Clare Greyhound Project.
Apparently neither were ‘any good’ for racing and although an ID book (
see photos below)accompanied Kiz, no racing history was found.
Kis so young small and sweet.
Kiz had a foster home with other Sighthounds and small dogs for company
and she settled in very well.
Kiz loved all people, children and dogs and enjoyed accompanying AfG on
several of our events.
She was very popular as she was always approaching people for a good fuss.
It was at one of the events we met her adopters.
They had rescued Greyhopunds before and were absolutely smitten with
little Kiz.
Arrangements were made to take Kiz to do a homecheck and all went so well.
Kiz adopters were active retirees so had so much time to care for her.
She didn’t miss out on meeting many people and other dogs on her many
walks and adventures.
Kiz adopters said, she was once a ‘Throw Away Hound’..now she is ‘A
Million Dollar Baby’.
Photos below, show Kiz when she arrived with Vinnie from Ireland,
settling into her foster home, out on events and getting ready to set
off to her new forever home.
Photo above, Kiz featured on a page of an AfG calendar, photographed by
William Moore.
