BEAU came to AfG at age 7 years, he was a friendly happy Greyhound who had for the past few years been well looked after by a lady who had acquired him from a person who was not caring for him well and who did not want him.
AfG named him Beau as despite his deformed nose, we felt his beauty just shone through.
The lady could no longer care for Beau, as he had previously lived with a companion Bull Terrier who had passed away from old age, leaving Beau alone and sad without his best pal.
The lady could not afford to adopt another dog and was having to increase her work hours, knowing it was not fair on Beau to be left on his own.
The lady even traveled to Norwich with Beau from a long distance to bring him to AfG.
Beau settled into a foster home with other rescued hounds and because he was in good condition, he was able to soon be neutered.
Beau did not have to wait long to find his forever home as a couple who had previously adopted Lurcher Joey (see: JOEY Other Sighthounds homed) had recently lost him at age 14, Joey had already been joined by another adopted Greyhound named Yeats from another Greyhound rescue, so knowing both Greyhounds were good with all other dogs, it was great that Beau could join Yeats in his forever home.
Beau soon settled in to his forever home with Yeats and enjoyed meeting all the grand children visiting and his lovely walks, especially on the nearby beach.
Photo below shows Beau when he came to AfG.
The 2 photos above feature Beau, one with Yeats where they featured together on an AfG calendar, photographed by William Moore.
