PLEASE NOTE WHEN PLACING AN ORDER FOR ONE OF OUR SIGHTHOUND JUMPERS:
WE VERY RARELY HAVE ANY KEPT IN STOCK AND ALL ARE MADE (by hand) ON A ‘1ST ORDERED, 1ST MADE’ SYSTEM.
HOWEVER WE OFTEN HAVE A SMALL STOCK OF THE MOST POPULAR COLOURS/SIZES, BEING THE FAIRISLE STYLE SHADES IN SIZE 26″ AND 28″ LONG. (which you can choose to aviod a wait).
DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF JUMPER ORDERS WE RECEIVE FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH TO THE FOLLOWING FEBRUARY/MARCH THE FURTHER WE GET INTO THE WINTER MONTHS MEANS THERE CAN BE APPROX A 5 WEEK WAIT FOR ORDERS MADE FROM TOWARDS THE END OF OCTOBER ONWARDS FROM THE DAY OF ORDER AND THE ITEM BEING DISPATCHED. ORDERS MADE FOR JUMPERS ON AND AFTER NOVEMBER 20TH ARE VERY UNLIKELY TO BE MADE AND READY TO POST BY THE LAST 1ST CLASS POST BEFORE CHRISTMAS. THEREFORE CUSTOMERS WILL NOT RECEIVE THEIR JUMPER ORDERS UNTIL JANUARY THE FOLLOWING YEAR.
A standard size greyhound/medium Sighthound is likely to measure 26″ or 28″ along the back for the length of the jumper. The length of the jumper does not include the length of the snood neck as this length will automatically contrast with the size of the jumper.
The 30″ AND 32″ length jumper is for X Large greyhounds/Sighthounds. The jumpers will stretch approximately 1″ in length with wear so it is advisable not to over measure the length of your hounds back.
Please also note: the jumpers are designed essentially for Sighthound breeds from i.e: Italian Greyhounds up to Large Greyhounds/Sighthounds.
So if you require one for an alternative breed we will need alternative measurements for the circumference of the widest part of the chest (C) and the circumference of the base of the neck and the middle of the neck (B).

Beautifully hand crafted from luxury acrylic yarn. The jumpers can be washed either by hand or machine at no higher than 40 degrees C and must not be tumble dried or ironed (a care instruction label is attached to each garment).
These jumpers are not kept in stock. All are made on a 1st ordered 1st made system and under our normal circumstances we hope to have them ready for dispatch within 15 working days from the date of the order.
No more struggling to get your hounds feet and legs through arm holes and over stretching the garment, as these quality jumpers are made to just slip over your hounds neck, with a chest flap which buttons up one side underneath the chest and the chest to neck flap buttons up from under front of chest to under bottom of neck. These jumpers will fit your hound like a glove and keep them snug and warm all over. They can be worn on their own in cold, dry weather though they are not waterproof, but can be worn under your hounds waterproof coat on rainy days.
The neck can be worn rolled back over your hounds neck or rolled out to be worn over the ears like a snood. A hole can been incorporated into the design at the base of the neck if a lead needs to be attached to the collar worn underneath the jumper.
You can also specify with your order, whether or not you require the hole for the lead. A slip lead or harness can be worn over the top of the jumper so the lead hole will not be required in this case.
To ensure a comfortable fit, your hound’s measurements are to be taken from the top, from the base of the neck (between the shoulder blades) to the base of the tail. Please state with your order, the length required (in inches) your hounds gender, whether as lead hole in the neck is required or not and your colour choice. Colours available are shown above.
Orders for a striped or mixed colour jumper are only available from a mix of the colours listed, please either add this information on the ‘note’ section of your order or email this information to info@actionforgreyhounds.co.uk with your specific requirements.
And lastly, please state if your hound is male or female, as a jumper for a male will need to be made with a slightly shorter chest.
